Atopica – Week 4 (Cure for Alopecia X, Black Skin Disease)

So we’re into week four of Kiki being on Atopica and her skin continues to get pinker (is that a word?) ! I’m amazed at how fast her skin is getting healthy looking again. Below is a picture update on how good she’s starting to look, you can see how her skin is getting lighter and now there are only little black speckles on her skin.

Kirby Super Star Ultra for Nintendo DS – Video Game

So I had Kirby Super Star Ultra reserved about a week before the game came out and bought it the second the game came in. I was super excited about a new Kirby game since in my eyes he is the best game character ever created and I LOVED Kirby Squeak Squad for the DS. So you would think by now I would have played and passed the game, right? Nope….I have absolutely no time to dedicate my life to Kirby. But from what little I’ve played, the game is another instant Kirby hit! Agree? Disagree? Let me know! I haven’t played nearly enough to give a true answer on how good the game is. I’ll give a more in depth review when I have a chance to play the game more. Stay tuned…..

I found the Sporelution!!! – Video Game Help

After much searching and many unsuccessful attempts to try and contact EA I have found the solution that makes Spore work on Vista!!! Before I give the solution, let me describe the problem I encountered so anyone having this issue can see that this solution will work for them to. I was able to download Spore, however, when the download was completed I only received a message to open the Read Me file and finish the download. There was no desktop icon and the icon wasn’t in the Programs in the start menu. So I did a few searches and found a possible solution that someone used when Spore Creature Creator wasn’t working. What you do is go to the C Drive, Program Files, Electronic Arts, Spore, Sporebin and in the Sporebin folder you will see an application called SporeApp. Right click on SporeApp and click Create Shortcut. Doing this creates a shortcut on your Desktop and presto change-o all of the sudden Spore works. It’s a miracle!!! Ha! Maybe Spore.com should include these instructions on their website and make it easier to contact them. What an aggravating process, their toll-free number sucks, it’s all automated…..their online help desk sucks too, there are no good suggestions…..and my question that I submitted is still unresolved. Oh well, even though their support sucks at least someone posted the solution on the web. So hopefully I can pass on the information to some other frustrated individual. Now it’s time to Spore!!!

Oh the woes of Spore – Video Game Issues

So I finally sat down to install Spore today which included EA Download Manager and when I go to run the game nothing….NOTHING!!! I uninstall and reinstall the game and try to run it and again, NOTHING….ugh! So I restart my computer and again try to run the game….NOTHING. At this point I’m beyond annoyed and decide to Google the issue and see that various people are having issues running Spore Creature Creature with Vista and that EA Download Manager is the culprit behind the problems. So I uninstall EA Download Manager, restart my computer and (while keeping my fingers crossed) try Spore again…..and nothing…..so right now as I’m typing this, I’m trying to install the game on my other laptop which is Windows XP…..we’ll see if that works…..and it does… :\ which is completely bittersweet…..I wanted to play it on my Vaio. So I’m asking for help….anyone that was able to get Spore to work on Vista, how did you do it???
