Japanese Tea Garden

Japanese Tea Garden WalkwayOne of the first places I visited during my trip to San Francisco was the Japanese Tea Garden. The Japanese Tea Garden is located on Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr. in between John F Kennedy Dr. and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. A little transportation side note: my sister and I took the MUNI 38 bus and had to transfer to the 44 bus in order to get there, looking back that wasn’t the best way to go. Depending where you are coming from always try to take MUNI subways, you’ll get there in half the time.

Japanese Tea Garden, San Francisco, CAAnyways, back to the gardens….the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park is the oldest public Japanese Garden in California. The garden features many bridges, ponds and Japanese plants, visit Wikipedia for more details. The walk around the garden so so peaceful with many great picture opportunities. You can easily get through the entire garden in less than an hour and have time to enjoy the scenery. The Japanese Tea Garden also has a restaurant and a gift shop. I would definitely recommend this as a stop on someone’s trip to San Francisco.
